350 Singapore has submitted our response to the public consultation opened by the National Climate Change Secretariat.

We are urging the Singapore Government to take ambitious action to bring Singapore’s greenhouse gas emissions targets in line with IPCC recommendations for remaining within 1.5°C of warming — to peak greenhouse gas emissions in 2020, to reduce by 45% by 2030 and net zero by 2050.

As climate action concerns all of Singapore society, we are also recommending that NCCS publish consultation feedback received, together with the Government’s responses, by 1 December 2019.

We welcome feedback and comments on our consultation submission. We hope to inspire and engage Singaporeans at all sections of society — households, policy makers, businesses and grassroots communities — to find their part in our shared pathway to net zero economy. To find out more about that roadmap or how to get involved with us, drop us a note at hello@350sg.org.
